Media Alert Template

If the purpose of your announcement is to notify the media of an event, a "media alert" should be used and not a press release. Here is the standard format for a media alert:

 


MEDIA ALERT:

 

Headline (what is the event and when is it)

 

What: what is happening.

 

Who: who is holding the event

 

Why: why is this even being held

 

Who Should Attend: who should attend the event

 

When: date, time or range of date and time

 

Where: where will it take place, where can they park

 

Media Contact:
Name, phone, email, website...
